Why did we create this space?

Walking towards our own truth, power and freedom is a radical act in a culture that demands us to conform and that dictates our power and place based on our identities, appearance and achievements. Feeling isolated and alone in our inner journeys perpetuates the status quo. 

We need spaces where our stories can be witnessed and honoured, where we can be inhabit our truth and our joy in community. We are fortified when we listen to the stories of others, when we feel resonance and sense that we are not alone, we are together. 

We come alive in authentic expression and connection and this is the intention of this space. 

What can you expect here?

We intend to listen to individuals on their journeys towards body liberation and share their stories through videos and art. We will also invite art, dance videos, poetry and story sharings from the community as it builds. 

This space will be anchored in the Instagram page @bodyliberationindia. 

We hope for this to be a space anchored in diverse stories of resistance, of freedom and joy.
