About
Megha grew up in Mumbai. She has always loved to dance, to make art and craft, and to give big, warm hugs.
As a teen, she moved to the US for a bachelors degree in Business & Economics at the University of Virginia. In her 20s, she worked in strategy consulting and finance in the US, and then in non-profit and philanthropy consulting in India.
Her 30's began with an earnest quest of self-discovery, wanting to find her calling and ways of living and loving that felt right and true. This led her into a rich spiral of looking inwards, immersing in experiential programs, learning, healing and growing. She found her way home through the body, the arts and spaces that invited connection and expression. She deepened in her study and personal practice of inner re-parenting, conscious communication, embodiment and body liberation.
Since 2017, Megha has accompanied individuals on their inner journeys, first as a coach and then as a therapist. She has particularly worked with social changemakers, mental health practitioners, and creatives. She has facilitated courses on self-discovery for management students and arts-based practice for therapists in training, and continues to facilitate arts-based programs around themes such as aliveness and body trust.
Lately, Megha has been building her anti-oppression, intersectional and liberation consciousness and practice. She's committed to seeing clearly, loving through action, anchoring in pleasure and joy as sustenance and resistance, and rooting in connection.
Megha identifies as a cis, queer, fat woman (reclaiming the word fat as a neutral descriptor and as an identity). She recognises her social positions of privilege, including coming from an upper-caste, upper-class, Hindu family and how that has materially impacted her access to opportunities and safety nets.
Megha dreams of a community of practice, a collective that comes together with shared power on this land of aliveness.
